Description
The issue is related to a Use After Free vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file, specifically SKP files. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the device when parsing these files.
Recommendations
For Substance3D - Stager versions 3.0.3 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the opening of SKP files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. Avoid using the affected software to parse SKP files from unknown or malicious sources. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
