Description
The issue is related to a Stack-based Buffer Overflow that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow read issue, which may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Animate versions 23.0.7, 24.0.4 and earlier, update to a version later than 24.0.4 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the opening of malicious files until a patch is available.
Restrict user interaction with potentially malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
