Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions D-Link DIR-619L B1 version 2.06
Description A critical issue was found in the function formSetPassword of the file /goform/formSetPassword, related to a buffer overflow due to the manipulation of the curTime argument. This can be exploited remotely, potentially allowing an attacker to cause a denial of service by sending a specially crafted POST request. The exploit has been publicly disclosed.
Recommendations For D-Link DIR-619L B1 version 2.06, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the formSetPassword function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /goform/formSetPassword endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the curTime parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
