CVE-2024-21269

CVSS v2.0

8.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.13
Description The issue is related to the Compensation Plan component of Oracle Incentive Compensation in Oracle E-Business Suite, where inadequate authorization procedures and incorrect input validation can be exploited. This allows a remote attacker to gain access to modify, add, or delete data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification of critical data, as well as complete access to all accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.13, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Compensation Plan component to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict network access via HTTP to the Oracle Incentive Compensation product to reduce the attack surface.
