Description The issue is related to the nci rx work() function in the Linux kernel's NFC module, which parses received packets from ndev->rx q. The function should validate the header size, payload size, and total packet size before processing the packet. If an invalid packet is detected, it should be silently discarded. The vulnerability is caused by the use of an uninitialized variable. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to impact the confidentiality and availability of protected information.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
