Description
The issue is related to the function
hdmi 14 process transaction() in the module drivers/gpu/drm/amd/display/dc/hdcp/hdcp msg.c of the Linux kernel's amdgpu driver. It is associated with incorrect index calculation. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. The problem arises because HDCP MESSAGE ID INVALID (-1) is not a valid msg id nor a valid array index, and it needs to be checked before being used. This fixes 4 OVERRUN issues reported by Coverity.Recommendations
