Description:
The issue is related to a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel's USB component. This can occur when the parent device of
usb role switch is removed before the user puts the usb role switch device, leading to a NULL pointer issue when the user puts the parent module's reference. The vulnerability can be exploited to cause a denial of service. The affected functions include usb role switch get(), fwnode usb role switch get(), EXPORT SYMBOL GPL(), usb role switch find by fwnode(), and usb role switch register() in drivers/usb/roles/class.c.Recommendations:
