Description: The issue is related to errors in reading beyond the buffer memory boundaries in the ntfs3 component of the Linux kernel. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem is specifically with the ntfs listxattr function, where the length of a name cannot exceed the space occupied by an extended attribute.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
