CVE-2024-46871

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel, specifically in the drm/amd/display module, where the defined value for AMDGPU DMUB NOTIFICATION MAX was incorrect, exposing 6 types in enum dmub notification type instead of 5. This could lead to accessing items out of array bounds for dmub callback and dmub thread offload. The vulnerability is associated with insufficient memory allocation, resulting in potential out-of-bounds memory access. This could allow an attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
