CVE-2024-26771

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a null pointer dereference in the edma probe() function. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem arises because devm kasprintf() returns a pointer to dynamically allocated memory, which can be NULL upon failure. To ensure the allocation was successful, it is necessary to check the pointer validity.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
