CVE-2024-26839

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a memory leak in the init credit return() function of the Linux kernel's hfi1 component. When dma alloc coherent fails to allocate dd->cr base[i].va, init credit return should deallocate dd->cr base and dd->cr base[i] that were allocated before. If these resources are not freed, a memory leak is triggered. This can potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
