CVE-2024-26835

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the netfilter component of the Linux kernel, specifically with the nf tables functionality. During memory pressure, hook registration can fail, resulting in a table being marked as active but without registered hooks. When a table or base chain is deleted, nf tables attempts to unregister the hook again, yielding a warning from the nftables core. This can potentially lead to a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
