Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to a missing release of 'active io' for flush in the Linux kernel. This can cause mddev suspend() to wait for 'active io' to be zero forever. The problem arises from the submit flushes() function, where 'active io' is not released when 'flush pending' is decreased to zero. This can lead to a denial of service.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
