Description:
The issue is caused by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow in dynamic memory, which can be exploited by a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations:
For Adobe Bridge versions 13.0.8 and earlier, update to a version that is not affected by this issue.
For Adobe Bridge version 14.1.1 and earlier, update to a version that is not affected by this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of AVI file parsing functionality until a patch is available.
