CVE-2023-52694

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to the Linux kernel's drm/bridge component, specifically the tpd12s015 driver. The problem arises when the tpd12s015 remove() function is marked with exit, causing it to be discarded when the driver is compiled as a built-in. As a result, when the driver unbinds, there is no cleanup done, leading to resource leakage or worse. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
