CVE-2022-48699

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to a dentry leak in the update sched domain debugfs function. This leak occurs when using debugfs remove(debugfs lookup()), which can lead to memory exhaustion under a hotplug stress test. The problem is resolved by using the debugfs lookup and remove() call instead, which properly handles dentry reference counting logic.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
