CVE-2024-27432

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to an error in resource management in the Linux kernel's ethernet component. A patch was found in MediaTek's GPL-licensed SDK to resolve the issue, which involves the mtk ppe stop() function not disabling the PPE scan mode before disabling the PPE. This can potentially lead to a hang during the process of disabling the PPE, and without the patch, the PPE may experience a hang during the reboot test.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
