CVE-2024-27078

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a memory leak in the tpg alloc function of the Linux kernel's v4l2-tpg component. Resources should be deallocated in each error-handling path, as they are allocated in for statements. Otherwise, there would be memory leaks because tpg free is called only when tpg alloc returns 0. This could potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
