CVE-2024-27074

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a memory leak in the go7007 load encoder function. This leak occurs because bounce (i.e., go->boot fw) is allocated without being deallocated afterwards. The leak happens after a specific call chain: saa7134 go7007 init -> go7007 boot encoder -> go7007 load encoder -> kfree(go), where go is freed, resulting in the leak of bounce. This could potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
