5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the scarlett2 component of the Linux kernel and involves improper error handling. This can potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. The * ctl get() functions, which call scarlett2 update *(), were not checking the return value, but a fix has been implemented to check the return value and pass it to the caller.
