Description
The issue is related to a null pointer dereference in the
update events in group() function within the powerpc/imc-pmu component of the Linux kernel. This can occur because kasprintf() returns a pointer to dynamically allocated memory, which can be NULL upon failure. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.Recommendations
