CVE-2023-52674

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to errors in reading beyond boundaries in the scarlett2 mixer ctl put() function. This could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem is resolved by adding a clamp() function to ensure the value passed to scarlett2 mixer ctl put() is between 0 and SCARLETT2 MIXER MAX VALUE, preventing access outside scarlett2 mixer values[].
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
