CVE-2024-35822

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel's udc component, where a warning message can be triggered from the mass storage function. The root cause is that the mass storage function tries to queue a request from the main thread, but another thread may already have disabled the endpoint when the function is disabled. This can lead to a denial of service. The problem is resolved by changing the WARN ON ONCE() in the usb ep queue() function to pr debug().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
