CVE-2024-35810

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the drm/vmwgfx component of the Linux kernel, where the cleanup can be dispatched while the atomic update is still active. This leads to crashes because the buffer objects in vmw plane state were trying to handle the lifetime of the mapped memory themselves instead of using the builtin map and cache. The problem can cause kernel oops'es in IGT's kms cursor legacy forked-bo.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
