CVE-2024-35916

CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a NULL pointer dereference in the sanitycheck() function. If a memory allocation failure occurs and mock chain() returns NULL, it is passed to dma fence enable sw signaling(), resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. The fix involves calling dma fence enable sw signaling() only if mock chain() succeeds. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
