5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a potential "struct net" leak in the inet6 rtm getaddr() function. If userspace provides a correct IFA TARGET NETNSID value but no IFA ADDRESS and IFA LOCAL attributes, inet6 rtm getaddr() returns -EINVAL with an elevated "struct net" refcount. This may allow an attacker to gain access to confidential information.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
