Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the handling of HCI EV IO CAPA REQUEST in the Linux kernel's hci event component. If HCI EV IO CAPA REQUEST is received while HCI OP READ REMOTE EXT FEATURES is yet to be responded, it is assumed that the remote device supports SSP. This assumption should not be made, as the event should not be generated otherwise. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to gain access to confidential information.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
