Description The issue is related to errors in resource management within the subflow finish connect() function of the mptcp component in the Linux kernel. This may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. The subflow finish connect() function uses four fields (backup, join id, thmac, none) that may contain garbage unless OPTION MPTCP MPJ SYNACK has been set in mptcp parse option().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
