Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This vulnerability is associated with a buffer overflow in memory, which can allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Bridge versions 13.0.8, 14.1.1 and earlier, avoid opening malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the JP2 file parsing functionality until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
