Description
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in dynamic memory, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This can result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For Adobe InDesign versions ID18.5.2 and earlier, update to a version later than ID18.5.2 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe InDesign version ID19.4, update to a version later than ID19.4 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of dynamic memory allocation functions that may trigger the heap-based buffer overflow until a patch is available.
