Description
The issue is related to SQL injection in Ivanti Endpoint Manager, which allows a remote authenticated attacker with admin privileges to achieve remote code execution. This is due to the lack of protection measures for the SQL query structure. The exploitation of this issue can enable a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 2024 November Security Update, update to the 2024 November Security Update or later to resolve the issue.
For versions prior to 2022 SU6 November Security Update, update to the 2022 SU6 November Security Update or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the PatchHistory module to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
