9.6
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
RenderTune version 1.1.4
Description:
The issue is related to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It occurs due to inadequate protection of the web page structure when handling the
Upload Title parameter. This allows a remote attacker to conduct cross-site scripting attacks by injecting a crafted payload into the Upload Title parameter, enabling the execution of arbitrary web scripts or HTML.Recommendations:
For RenderTune version 1.1.4, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
Upload Title parameter until a patch is available. Avoid using the Upload Title parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
