Description:
The vulnerability is related to a circular locking dependency between the console owner locking and the worker pool locking in the Linux kernel's drm/qxl component. This issue can cause a system to hang or timeout during boot up. The problem is associated with the
qxl fence wait function. Reverting a specific commit allows the system to boot to completion again, although it may result in "[TTM] Buffer eviction failed" messages.Recommendations:
