CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to an off-by-one error in the qla edif app getstats() function. This error can lead to memory corruption because the app reply->elem[] array is allocated with app req.num ports elements, and a comparison should be >= instead of > to prevent this corruption. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
