Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The issue is related to a Bluetooth component in the Linux kernel, specifically the qca module, which has a problem with incorrect input validation. This can lead to an information leak when fetching the board id, potentially causing a denial of service (DoS). The missing sanity check when fetching the board id allows slab data to leak when later requesting the firmware.
Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
