CVE-2021-47551

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to the drm/amd/amdkfd component of the Linux kernel. It can cause a kernel panic when a reset fails and is triggered again in SRIOV configuration. The reset may fail to bring the asic back to normal, and if the stop cpsch has already been called, the start cpsch will not be called since there is no resume in this case. When the reset is triggered again, the driver should avoid doing uninitialization again. This can lead to a denial of service.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
