Description:
The issue is related to a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qedf component. It occurs when a count-sized kernel buffer is allocated and count is copied from userspace to that buffer without ensuring the string is terminated inside the buffer. This can lead to an out-of-bounds (OOB) read when using the
kstrtouint function. The vulnerability can be exploited to cause a denial of service.Recommendations:
