Description:
The issue is related to the wifi component carl9170 in the Linux kernel, where a wrong endpoint type at the URB submitting stage causes a warning. The vulnerability is caused by the implicit trust of other endpoints, as only a specific 4th endpoint was checked. The issue can be fixed by doing a comprehensive check of all endpoints, taking into account the difference between high- and full-speed configuration. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
