Description:
The issue is related to the insecure storage of confidential information in Nextcloud Server and Nextcloud Enterprise Server. An attacker who gains access to a database backup and the Nextcloud config file could decrypt OAuth2 client secrets. This could allow an unauthorized party to access protected information.
Recommendations:
For Nextcloud Server versions prior to 28.0.10, upgrade to version 28.0.10 or 29.0.7.
For Nextcloud Server version prior to 29.0.7, upgrade to version 29.0.7.
For Nextcloud Enterprise Server versions prior to 27.1.11.8, upgrade to version 27.1.11.8, 28.0.10, or 29.0.7.
For Nextcloud Enterprise Server versions prior to 28.0.10, upgrade to version 28.0.10 or 29.0.7.
For Nextcloud Enterprise Server version prior to 29.0.7, upgrade to version 29.0.7.
