Description: The vulnerability is related to incorrect error handling in the ext4 component of the Linux kernel. This could lead to silent memory corruption or a kernel bug. The issue is resolved by fixing the error handling in the ext4 fc record modified inode() function and cleaning up duplicated error handling logic in the fast commit.c file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.
