Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The issue is related to a use-after-free bug in the RDMA component of the Linux kernel. This bug occurs when the
qp->sq.queue is freed in the error handling path of rxe qp from init(), and then rxe create qp() drops the last reference to this object, causing the queue cleanup function to attempt to free the queue again. This can be exploited to potentially elevate privileges in the system.Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
