7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
GitLab CE/EE versions 13.2.4 through 17.4.5
GitLab CE/EE versions 17.5 through 17.5.3
GitLab CE/EE versions 17.6 through 17.6.1
Description:
A denial of service (DoS) condition was discovered in GitLab CE/EE. This issue is related to inefficient algorithmic complexity. An attacker could create a DoS condition by sending crafted API calls, exploiting this vulnerability. The issue was a regression of an earlier patch.
Recommendations:
For GitLab CE/EE versions 13.2.4 through 17.4.5, update to version 17.4.5 or later to resolve the issue.
For GitLab CE/EE versions 17.5 through 17.5.3, update to version 17.5.3 or later to resolve the issue.
For GitLab CE/EE versions 17.6 through 17.6.1, update to version 17.6.1 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to API endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation.
