Description: The issue is related to incorrect handling of test parameters sent to the server in json format. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. A segmentation violation was discovered via the iperf exchange parameters() function.
Recommendations: For iperf version 3.17.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the iperf exchange parameters() function until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
