Description:
The issue is related to insufficient permissions in the TeamViewer Patch & Asset Management component, which allows a local authenticated user to delete arbitrary files. This component is part of TeamViewer Remote Management. The vulnerability is associated with incorrect permission assignment for a critical resource, enabling an attacker to perform arbitrary file deletion.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 24.12, update to version 24.12 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the TeamViewer Patch & Asset Management component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
