Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Adobe Animate versions 23.0.8, 24.0.5 and earlier
Description:
The issue is related to a Use After Free vulnerability, which involves the use of memory after it has been freed. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, specifically that a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations:
For Adobe Animate versions 23.0.8, 24.0.5 and earlier, avoid opening malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of potentially vulnerable features in Adobe Animate until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
