| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure when handling DOM elements, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. This is a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that can be exploited by manipulating a DOM element through a crafted URL or user input, allowing the attacker to inject malicious scripts that run when the page is rendered. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier, consider updating to a version that includes a fix for this issue as soon as it becomes available. As a temporary workaround, restrict user interaction with potentially vulnerable pages and elements to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using crafted URLs or user input that could manipulate DOM elements until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
