| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It could be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the victim's browser session. This is achieved by manipulating a DOM element through a crafted URL or user input, allowing the attacker to inject malicious scripts that run when the page is rendered. The attack requires user interaction, as the victim would need to visit a malicious link or page.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier, consider disabling the DOM element manipulation functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to crafted URLs or user input to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the affected Adobe Experience Manager versions for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
