Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Dell RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines version 6.0.x
Description
The issue is related to the use of hard-coded credentials in the software. A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this by gaining access to the source code, easily retrieving these secrets, and reusing them to access the system. This could lead to unauthorized access to data.
Recommendations
For Dell RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines version 6.0.x, consider restricting access to the system until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the hard-coded credentials in the system. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
