CVE-2024-52816

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier
Description The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure in Adobe Experience Manager, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. Specifically, it is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim accesses the page containing the vulnerable field, malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available. Restrict access to pages that contain fields vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable fields in forms until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
