Description:
The issue is related to a NULL Pointer Dereference that could result in an application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this to crash the application, leading to a denial of service condition. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations:
For InDesign Desktop versions ID19.5, ID18.5.4 and earlier, consider avoiding the opening of malicious files until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
